Overlooking Tairua Harbour at the mouth of the Tairua River, we offer two high quality,
self-catering apartments for holidays and weekend stays. Ideal for couples or small adult
groups who want to be independent but also have the comforts of home, each apartment is
fully and individually furnished. All equipment, linen and towels are supplied and each has its own
separate access, indoor/outdoor living areas and parking. Cool in summer, cosy in winter. The views are stunning
- the garden setting lovely.

Local attractions
Tairua is 140Km Southeast of Auckland International airport - around 2 hours travel by car.
Tairua Village and restaurants /cafes are 5 minutes easy walk away from Saltwater Lodge. The bakery,
boat ramp, ferry jetty and deep sea fishing club are a 1 minute walk. The Tairua Country Club,
including an 18-hole golf course, bowling green and croquet lawn is 3 minutes away by car.
Ocean Beach is a 5 minute drive; scenic coastal spots including Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove are a 20 minute drive.
There are numerous bush walks and places of interest, including an old
goldmine, all within 20 minutes by car from Tairua. Pauanui is a 5 minute ferry ride from the nearby jetty.
Fishing and diving trips are readily available by arrangement with the various local operators.
